Las Vegas CPCU Society Chapter - Annual meeting November 6, 2023

The Annual Meeting for the Las Vegas CPCU Society Chapter will be held on Monday, November 6, 2023 starting at 6 pm at Sierra Gold Banquet Room (upstairs) 6515 S Jones Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89118

The program will include:

* Review of the past year’s Chapter activities

* Election of Officers and Directors for 2024

* Look ahead to 2024

* Guest speakers:

Scott J Kipper

Insurance Commissioner

State of Nevada, Division of Insurance

Scott Kipper was appointed Nevada's Insurance Commissioner effective February 27, 2023. Commissioner Kipper has more than 30 years of experience in the insurance industry, including prior stints as Nevada Insurance Commissioner from 2008 to 2010, and again from 2011 to 2015. He most recently served as the Deputy Commissioner for Operations for the State of Washington Office of the Insurance Commissioner. Prior to that, he founded a private consulting firm providing technical expertise on insurance issues, serving clients nationwide.

Commissioner Kipper earned a bachelors degree in business administration from the University of Wyoming.

Chris H Utterback

Inaugural Director and Affiliate Professor

UNLV Kerestesi Center for Insurance and Risk Management

Chris is an insurance professional with over 40 years of insurance industry experience. He has held various technical, sales, management and executive positions in both property casualty and employee benefits insurance. He has had experience in leading underwriting, claims, loss prevention, large account sales, carrier and agency management, situational analytics, strategic planning and human capital development.

Lastly, Chris has been a teacher of insurance and risk management at UNLV for the past seven years and is also currently the inaugural director of the Kerestesi Center of Insurance and Risk Management at UNLV.
